Welcome to the WWE Women's Division Blog!

Thank you for reading the first entry of the WWE Women's Divsion Blog (WDB).  My name is Nick and I began watching wrestling in the late 80's.  As a wrestling fan who only watched WWE, I was rarely exposed to high-quality women's wrestling.  For years, WWE's women's division focused on the athletes' looks rather than their in-ring ability.  (One could argue the same about the male side of its roster as well, I suppose) The females who could wrestle were rarely given opportunities to excel.  Episodes of Raw featuring concurrent female storylines or PPVs with multiple women's matches were non-existent.

Fortunately, this has changed.

Today, the WWE's women's division is stronger than ever before.  Deemed the "Women's Revolution", both Raw and Smackdown feature deep female rosters filled with excellent wrestlers and unique babyface and heel characters.  Led by Nikki Bella, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Sasha Banks, the women's segments, rivalries, and matches are routinely the most entertaining portions of Raw or Smackdown.

WWE's "Women's Revolution" could not have come at a better time.  We live in an era of female empowerment and WWE's women embody this as well as anyone.  They are heroes to women and men alike and their willingness to put their bodies on the line night in and night out proves how far women's wrestling has come.  Some pundits are already calling Charlotte Flair the greatest female wrestler who ever lived!

So to honor the women putting in this work, this blog will serve as an unofficial record of my thoughts during this historic era.  Stick around and enjoy the show!
